We offer classes to fit a variety of skill levels and interests. Choose from the classes listed below. If you do not see a class that meets your interest or it is not scheduled for a convenient time, please contact us via email. We will try to accommodate you as we add new classes to our schedule. At this time we are only scheduling 2018-19 fall and winter classes. In the future we may be adding online classes if there is enough interest. Please let us know if you are interested in online classes via email.


TO REGISTER FOR A CLASS:

Your registration and payment must be received prior to class unless other arrangements have been made. To Register & Pay, just "click" on the PayPal Button for the class you are registering for. You can pay using PayPal with your credit or debit card even without having a PayPal account. Or pay with Cash in person or Check by mail. All registration payments must be received prior to class in order to secure your registration, unless other arrangements have been made.

After you have paid for your class with the appropriate PayPal button listed for the class, please fill out the following information in the "Contact Form" at the bottom of the page including your name, email, phone number, and which class you registered for and email it to us.


We will contact you by telephone in the event that a class would need to be cancelled due to bad weather. An alternate date will then be scheduled for the class.

Simple Pillow Cover (16"x16" square)

Skill Level 1: Little or no knowledge of machine sewing.
Age: Adult 18 & older
Requirements: None

What you will learn:
Basic sewing skills and terminology, machine and tools basics, sew seams to make a simple pillow cover. You take  home a finished pillow cover. Pillow Cover Instructions PDF e-Pattern (emailed to you before class.)


BEGINNERS SEWING 2  CLOSED
Informational Class Only

Skill Level 1:  Little or no knowledge of machine  sewing.
Age: Adult 18 & older.
Requirements: None

Material & Supplies needed: None.

Class Length: 3 hrs.

Instructor: Deb Tillman, Over 50 years experience in sewing clothing, accessories, curtains, quilts, and crafts. 

What you will learn:
How to thread a sewing machine and wind a bobbin, Types of sewing machines, parts of the sewing machine, types of thread, types of needles, types of fabric, Sewing tools, reading a pattern, preparing fabric for cutout and sewing. Trip to local fabric store if time. There will be NO sewing on the machine for this class. It is an informational class only which will also prepare you for Beginning Sewing 3.

Memory Pillow (made from the shirt of a loved-one).

Skill Level 1: Little or no knowledge of machine sewing.
AGE: 18 & older.
Requirements: None

Materials & Supplies needed:  Please bring to class  (1) button down shirt from your loved-one. Please bring it laundered, ironed and hanging on a hanger. We will cut, sew and stuff it in class.

When: Thursday, Nov. 8, 1-4 pm.
Class Length: 2 1/2 - 3 hours.

BEGINNERS SEWING 3  CLOSED
Apron

Skill Level: 2
Age: Adult 18 & older.
Requirements:  Must have completed Both Beginner Sewing Courses or possess the knowledge and experience contained in both courses.

Materials Supplied:  cotton fabric,  thread, seam tape. pattern.
Supplies you bring to class:  Pins, Sewing Scissors, Pin Cushion, Tracing Paper & Wheel, Seam Ripper.

When:  Weds. Nov. 14,  1 - 4 p.m.

Class Length: 3 hrs.
COST:  $60 ($45 class + $15 supplies).

Instructor: Deb Tillman, Over 50 years experience in sewing clothing, accessories, curtains, quilts, and crafts. 

What you will learn: Basic sewing skills and terminology, winding a bobbin, cutting your fabric from a pattern, sewing a simple apron following the directions on the pattern. You take apron home with you.
INTERMEDIATE 1:  CLOSED
Denim Tote Bag

Skill Level:  3
Age: Adult 18 & older.
Requirements: Must have completed Beginners Sewing 1,2, & 3 or possess the knowledge and experience contained in all three courses.
Bring pattern to class


Bring to Class --Materials & Supplies Needed: Medium weight denim fabric washed, dried & pressed that has been Pre-cut  from  Pattern. The pattern number and purchase options will be emailed to you before class. Heavy weight Denim thread either orange or yellow, Sewing scissors, seam ripper, pins & pin cushion, tracing paper & tracing wheel(we will mark patterns in class before sewing). Sewing machine if you have one. If bringing own machine please also bring a denim needle and empty bobbin for the machine.

What you will learn: Basic and intermediate sewing skills and terminiology. Marking fabric for sewing. Changing sewing machine needles, winding bobbin, constructing a denim tote from a pattern. You take finished denim tote bag home with you.
